Those that know me, know that I do enjoy my Gin, and one brand that I do like a lot is Hendrick’s. Especially due to their quirky marketing and events, and I’m pleased to say that they have done it again!

The HENDRICK’S HORSELESS CARRIAGE of CURIOSITIES – a converted 19th century rail carriage stuffed full of machines that clink and whirr – is on a summer tour introducing its delightful peculiarities and literary shenanigans to thousands of free-thinking festival-goers.

Come and visit the carriage and create a short story, rhyme or riddle about any of the artefacts aboard as those who do so will receive a complimentary Hendrick’s & Tonic in return.

Before they take the carriage on tour, they are after some stewards, now this sounds like a fun and paid job!

Carriage ‘stewards’ are being sought to ensure a smooth running of the service. Your primary duty will be to inspire, cajole and coax out the very best stories from the British public, using artefacts in and around the 19th century rolling stock as inspiration. You will also be required to manage games of croquet and other genteel pastimes….More Details

What makes it even better is that they will be in Birmingham, so if you fancy a job head out to the Old Joint Stock between 12-7 on 10 June,
