Professor Cornelius Ampleforth’s Bathtub Gin

There is a new gin out from Master of Malt called ‘Professor Cornelius Ampleforth’s Bathtub Gin’, for brevity let’s just call it Bathtub Gin.  Though hopefully it will be a bit better than some of the historic ‘bathtub gins’ made when gin production was a bit more basic.

Whilst I’ve not had the opportunity to taste it yet, the bottle is staring at me from my desk though, I thought it worth sharing how attractive it looks!  The bottles are wrapped in brown paper, with a hand-drawn printed label, each bottle is sealed with wax and there is flax twine around the neck of the bottle.

I’ll provide a longer update once I’ve tried it, though if you want to try it then it is only available from Master of Malt for £31.95.

  1. I quite like it, certainly gives the high-end London Dry Gins a run for their money. I thought it was pretty sippable on it’sown/on the rocks as well.
