I remember the first time I uttered the short phrase of ‘London Cocktail Week’, the person I was speaking to looked joyfully at me. They responded “A Week? Of Cocktails? Oh MY!’
That’s pretty much what my thoughts were when I first heard about it. I’ll hopefully be able to attend a few bits and bobs, after all who can ignore an event that states that:
Some of London’s most exclusive member’s bars will be throwing open their doors and some of the world’s top mixologists will be shaking drinks and sharing their knowledge. Distillers and blenders from all spirits categories will be conducting tutored tastings and talking about their products.
Taking a flick through the schedule, you can see that there are a lot of decent events going on with a wide variety of bars and drinks brands being involved. Make sure you check out the London Cocktail Week schedule, as you can create your own custom version of it to show your friends and sync to your diary. (More info on this soon).
To take part in London Cocktail Week you need to be at least 21 and wear a wristband, which can be ordered (for free) through the LCW website. In return, you’ll qualify for £4 London Cocktail Week drinks in 50 brilliant bars around London, free transport on special routemasters and deals and discounts all over town from cocktail books to shakers, Bloody Mary’s to Champagne cocktails.
